Dr. Nikhit D'Sa and his team work with the challenging environment of Haiti, where political upheaval, civil unrest, violence, shortages of necessities, and more adversely affect the learning and development of young children. In this talk, “Leveraging Faith-Based Communities to Support Children's Development in Failed States,” Nikhit will share lessons from four years of research with faith-based communities in Haiti, discussing his team’s work and research with community partners to leverage assets in the primary settings of home, school, and parish.
