Jose Martinez Quiroz
Jose Martinez Quiroz serves as a Postbac Research Associate for the GC-DWC. He graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Jose’s previous research has focused on stigma in the Latino community, specifically he has explored stigma toward ADHD and observed the impact of representations on stigma toward depression.
Within the GC-DWC, Jose is working on the Faith in the Future project at St. Adalbert’s, and aiming to create interventions to increase the literacy and numeracy skills of children in the Latino community at home and the church prior to them entering preschool. He is passionate about researching interventions to aid the development of minority children and mitigating factors that may hinder their development to promote equity across all communities.
