Makenzy Voltaire
Makenzy Voltaire is a Project Coordinator for the Global Center for the Development of the Whole Child (GC-DWC) in Haiti. With over ten years of experience in the Haitian education sector, he currently oversees the implementation and evaluation of the L3 Project (Legliz – Lakay – Lekòl: Church – Home – School) and supports the rollout of the TML Project (Tout Moun Ladan l: Everyone In It) nationwide.
Prior to this role, Makenzy served as a Pedagogical Manager, where he worked as a trainer in literacy and social-emotional learning (SEL) and developed training content for teachers, school leaders, and parents involved in various GC-DWC initiatives. He also served as a trainer-supervisor in the Early Childhood Program (L3) and the Innovation Communities initiative in Cap-Haitien.
Before joining GC-DWC, Makenzy worked as an SEL supervisor for the Read Haiti–Porticus project. He also served as a pedagogical supervisor and literacy assessor for early-grade students. He holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work from the Faculté des Sciences Humaines of the Université d’État d’Haïti. Earlier in his career, he worked as a social worker in several orphanages in Port-au-Prince, providing psychosocial support to help reintegrate children into their families. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in education at the Institut Haïtien de Formation en Sciences de l’Éducation.
In April 2025, Makenzy received the GC-DWC’s inaugural "Excellence in Service" Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the organization’s mission in Haiti. He was honored for his forward-thinking problem-solving, collaborative spirit, servant leadership, deep commitment to communities, and dedication to continuous growth and impact.
