Ashwin Raghuraman
Ashwin Raghuraman, from Fremont, California and Perth, Australia, is an undergraduate research assistant at the GC-DWC. He studies Global Affairs and Russian at the Keough School of Global Affairs. Ashwin helps conduct research on the practical measurements of teacher agency in the Global South within the GC-DWC; his research interests are on refugee education policy, which he hopes to continue exploring through graduate studies. He is also a Klau student affiliate, and works on meta-analysis of faculty publications in the Keough School. Ashwin is also Captain of the Notre Dame Debate Team, where he travels across the nation to advance the university’s mission of human dignity; he recently won first place at the ACC Championship Debate Tournament. Outside academics, Ashwin is a passionate reader and an avid hiker; his favorite hike is Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California.
