Arlaine Joseph
Arlaine Joseph is an education professional based in Haiti, holding a degree in Psychopedagogy from the University of Notre Dame of Haiti. She currently works at the GC-DWC, where she serves as the Social and Emotional Learning Pedagogy Liaison.
With over ten years of experience in the Haitian education sector, Arlaine contributes to the implementation of two major national projects: L3 (Legliz, Lakay, Lekòl) and TML (Tout Moun Ladan l).
Prior to this role, she was an ASE Supervisor for the Read Haiti-Porticus project, where she focused on providing pedagogical support to teachers and monitoring students' progress in literacy and socio-emotional skill development. She also taught for four years, gaining valuable insights into classroom dynamics and the specific needs of learners.
During her university studies, Arlaine completed practical internships in various educational institutions, allowing her to apply theoretical knowledge in real learning environments. At the same time, she facilitated informal training sessions for youth in her community, demonstrating her commitment to voluntary popular education.
Beyond her professional commitments, Arlaine is deeply involved in social work. She actively supports children in highly vulnerable situations through individualized assistance within her community.
