Spencer Foundation Funds Major Research on School Choice in Indiana; CREO Studies Achievement Gains for Diverse Schools
Indiana’s school choice program is one of the largest in the United States. Until now, little has been known about how this initiative to increase parents’ educational options for their children is affecting either the schools or the students.
Berends Book on School Choice Reviewed in Washington Post
“School Choice and School Improvement,” the new book co-edited by IEI Fellow and sociologist Mark Berends, has been reviewed by a leading education journalist in The Washington Post.
Partnering with Indiana to Boost High School Science/Math Prospects
Dr. Tony Bennett, Indiana’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction, joined the University of Notre Dame and other partners on Thursday, April 12, in announcing a new initiative to increase college and career readiness among high school students, especially in the areas of math and science.
