Kenya Lee

Bio

Kenya Lee is a third-year graduate student in Sociology and a graduate affiliate with the Center for Research on Educational Opportunity (CREO) and Program for Interdisciplinary Education Research (ND PIER). She received a B.A. in Public Policy with minors in Education and African American and Diaspora studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Broadly, her research interests center on using various methodological approaches to examine educational stratification and tracking, school discipline, institutions, and the school to prison nexus. Currently, she is working on projects examining the outplacement of students into alternative education sites, the school disciplinary experiences of homeless students, and the stratification of students across math courses.
