Joel Mittleman Wins National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023

Joel Mittleman has won a 2023 National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. For the 2023 awards, 25 applicants/postdoctoral fellows were selected from an applicant pool of 195. This prestigious fellowship provides $70K to early-career scholars to focus on research and to attend professional development retreats. 

Joel will be working on gender inequality and moving beyond the binary gender framework to identify students largely invisible in traditional quantitative methods. The title of Joel's research is Gender Inequality Beyond the Gender Binary: "A Gender Predictive" Approach.
