Isabella Henriquez

Bio

Isabella (Bella) Henriquez is an undergraduate student intern at the GC-DWC, currently pursuing degrees in Neuroscience and Behavior; Education, Schooling, and Society; and Theology. She helps conduct evidence-based research on school transition in Guatemala and develops material for Haitian community-based projects. Her primary interests lie in early childhood development and education, especially in low-resource, impoverished, and marginalized communities, both national and international. At Notre Dame, Bella contributed to the BRAVE (Building Resilience After Violence Exposure) Research Lab, heads the Adult Education Alliance club, and is involved in mentorship as a Building Bridges Mentor and Kellogg Developing Researchers Group Leader. Outside academics, Bella enjoys cooking, reading, playing piano, and spending quality time with family and friends. Bella hopes to integrate neuroscience and education globally to support positive childhood development and promote the flourishing of children and families.
