Bio
Brian An, the CREO Postdoctoral Research Associate for the academic year of 2009–10, received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2009. Dr. An is Assistant Professor of Educational Policy and Leadership Studies at the University of Iowa. Dr. An's research focuses on the transition from high school to college and college persistence. Dr. An is currently working on research that examines the influence of high school programs (e.g., dual enrollment and ESL) on college readiness, and educational attainment, as well as, research that considers the role of the family and family disruptions on a child's college attendance and attainment.
