Leon Gilman

Leon Gilman is a graduate student in the Sociology department and a graduate student affiliate with the Center for Research on Educational Opportunity (CREO) and Program for Interdisciplinary Education Research (ND PIER). His research interests center on the forces shaping inequitable education pathways and how policies or programs reduce inequality. One particular interest he has is how standardized testing contributes to educational inequality. Before graduate studies at Notre Dame, he was a Data Analytics and Research Specialist at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Leon has received an M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a B.A. in Sociology from St. Norbert College.
