Erin Moira Lemrow is a language, culture, and literacy scholar whose work focuses both on creating culturally sustaining and critical pedagogies as well as exploring the identity formation of teachers and students in a variety of learning contexts.
Lemrow completed her Ph.D. and M.A. in Literacy, Culture and Language Education from the Indiana University Bloomington and her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan. Lemrow has previously worked as the Indiana University, State of Indiana K-12 Internationalizing Education, educational consultant; ENL teacher supervisor with IU South Bend; instructor of ENL cultural immersion and professional development at Holy Cross College; and creator and facilitator of the Elementary Program in World Languages at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Bloomington, IN.
Lemrow’s professional experiences and teaching span over 15 years across the educational spectrum including: French language and culture at Indiana University and grades K-12; ENL certification preparation and professional development; bilingual and bicultural education; Latinos and literacy in American schooling contexts, as well as coursework focused on the intersections of language, race, and identity.
