Kayla Knox

Bio

Kayla Knox is a third-year graduate student in Sociology and CREO. In May, she received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Political Science at Indiana University. At Indiana University, Kayla’s honors thesis examined the effects of racial socialization on race-related social experiences for students in higher education. Kayla worked as a teaching assistant and peer mentor for students on academic probation. She also worked as a research assistant for the Sociology Department at Indiana University, which involved working on the Summer Research Project (SRP) which examines the effects of parental and student involvement on academic success for students on the autism spectrum. Her current research interests include racial socialization, social in higher education, and educational stratification.
