Jonathan Schwarz

Jonathan is a post-doc Research Assistant, who recently completed his Ph.D. He earned a B.A. in political science and rhetoric from Wabash College, Ed.M. in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and recently defended his MA thesis at the University of Notre Dame. Within sociology of education, Jon is particularly interested in higher education, and the transitions from secondary to post-secondary education as well as from higher education to the labor market. Prior to his arrival at CREO, he spent three years working in institutional research (primarily survey design and analysis) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, Jon is working on projects that investigate the labor-market reception of graduates of for-profit colleges, document analysis of letters of recommendation for college admission, and assisting Prof. Carbonaro’s research on school reputation.
