Sociology/CREO Faculty Member Steven Alvarado receives an AERA-NSF Research Grant

Associate Professor Steven Alvarado of the Sociology Department and the Center for Research on Educational Opportunity (CREO) was awarded a research grant by the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Grant Program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). His proposal "Danger in the Halls of Science: Gun and Knife Events in Indiana & Wisconsin Schools and STEM Test Scores" received $25K for the period of 12 months from March 2026 through March 2027.
