Rockne Remembered: Debut of a Major Biography

The University of Notre Dame, the Institute for Educational Initiatives, and the "Play Like A Champion Today" (R) Character Education through Sports Program will co-sponsor "Rockne Remembered: A Retrospective on a Life Well-Lived," a lecture by award-winning author Jim Lefebvre. He is on campus presenting his new comprehensive biography, Coach for a Nation: The Life and Times of Knute Rockne. The free event, open to the public, will include special guests, a multi-media presentation, questions and answers, and a book signing.

A portion of the proceeds from Coach for a Nation is donated to support the work of Play Like a Champion Today, the national program for youth and school sports directed by Notre Dame's Institute for Educational Initaitives. Play Like a Champion Today works with coaches and sports leaders to shape a postiive sports culture for all young people, under the banner, "Character Education through Sports."
