The Most Reverend Archbishop Jean-Louis Brugues, O.P., Secretary of the Vatican’s Congregation for Catholic Education, will deliver the 2012 Terrence R. Keeley Vatican Lecture sponsored by the Nanovic Institute. He will speak on Thursday, March 22, at 4:30 pm in the Eck Visitors Center, with his lecture titled “The Second Vatican Council Ahead of Us.”
Archbishop Brugues oversees Catholic education in seminaries and institutes of study around the world. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the worldwide Church gathering known as Vatican II.
The Archbishop will preside and preach at the 5:15 pm Mass in Notre Dame’s Basilica of the Sacred Heart on Friday, March 23, and all are invited to join in prayer with this distinguished Church leader.
