Bio

Fr. Nate Wills, CSC, a native of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, graduate from the University of Notre Dame in 1999 with the rare double major of Theology and Computer Applications. After entering the seminary to become a Holy Cross priest, Fr. Nate was a part of the first ACE South Bend class and taught high school religion and computer skills. Following his ACE experience, Fr. Nate finished his seminary studies and is currently the associate pastor of St. Joseph Parish in downtown South Bend. Although this is his primary ministry, he has pursued the vocation of teaching by serving as a chaplain to St. Joseph’s High School and by teaching a graduate level theology course during the ACE summer program.

He has served on the Magnificat Advisory Board since 2006 and was named a Visiting Fellow to the IEI for the 2008-2009 academic year. Fr. Nate’s long-term interests are in the emerging field of
educational technology and assisting Catholic schools in building robust and effective integrations of technology into the classroom settings. His specific interest within this field is distance learning
and the possibilities it presents in bridging the gaps of geographic remoteness and socioeconomic division that present obstacles to many schools and educators both in the US and in the developing world.
