Bio

Pamela Burish has been involved in K – 12 Education for over thirty years in both public and Catholic schools. She has been a classroom teacher of grades 3 – 5 in rural Wisconsin and urban Tennessee including an ACE affiliated school working with diverse populations such as low socioeconomic or non-English speaking students.

Mrs. Burish has worked in the area of educational technology as a classroom teacher and is a recipient of numerous educational grants. Her work outside of the classroom included the coordination of a former ACOT – Apple Classroom of Tomorrow Teacher Development site, a variety of opportunities with various governmental agencies or organizations developing technology grant projects and curriculum resources, and creation of an online assessment tool for grades K – 6. Currently, Mrs. Burish is the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Coordinator for Technology Outreach through the University of Notre Dame.

In the area of teacher preparation, Mrs. Burish has been a mentor teacher through Vanderbilt University and a university instructor at Washington and Lee University and University of Notre Dame. The current courses she teaches at the University of Notre Dame are a seminar with undergraduate students in the area of K – 12 environmental science, an online assessment graduate level course, and a summer Language Arts graduate course – elementary level – focusing on writing, children’s literature, and curriculum development.

Students embrace rare educational research opportunity in India
