Bio

Christian Dallavis joined the Notre Dame faculty in Summer 2008 as the Program Director of the Notre Dame Magnificat Schools, a partnership initiative designed to promote engagement between the University and individual urban Catholic schools. Dallavis, whose doctoral dissertation examined historical and contemporary urban Catholic schooling in an immigrant community, is responsible for researching and refining the Magnificat model of urban Catholic schooling to prepare the program for expansion. Dallavis also serves as faculty for the Alliance for Catholic Education Master of Education program, teaching middle school English methods and English assessment.
