Educational research interests

Causal impacts of higher education on labor market outcomes; the role of identity in educational attainment; the relationship of non-cognitive skills and educational attainment and experience.

Bio

Abigail Wozniak is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. Her research uses the tools of applied microeconomics to study the determinants of labor market outcomes. Wozniak’s ongoing research studies the relationship between migration and economic opportunity, with particular attention to the role of higher education in migration. A recent project examines the role of identity in determining educational attainment. Wozniak has also studied the effects of industry product market changes on compensation for workers of different skill levels. She is a former Associate Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and a Research Fellow at IZA.
