Narvaez Named Winner of Expanded Reason Award for Research

The award was given by University Francisco de Vitoria and the Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation to recognize innovation in scientific research and academic programs based on Benedict XVI’s proposal to broaden the horizons of reason.

AP-TIP IN Program Introduces New Content Directors

Two new content directors are joining the AP-TIP IN Program July 1 to support Advanced Placement teachers and students across Indiana. Greg Macklem will be the math content director, and Chris Judson will be the English content director. These new team members will be supporting AP-TIP IN schools in Cohorts 4 and 5, as well as our AP-TIP IN Affiliate schools.

Teacher Investment Program Expands State's STEM Initiative

The Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program, administered statewide by the Institute, announced additional public high schools participating in 2016-17. This initiative helps more students become college-ready and career-ready in STEM, as reported by NPR's State Impact,The South Bend Tribune, and WSBT-TV (video).

Putnam Presents Scully Lecture

Putnam, the Peter and Isabel Malkin Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University, discussed the growing “opportunity gap” faced by today’s youth amid the backdrop of an ever-growing income divide in his lecture, “Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis.,” based on his recently published book.

Darcia Narvaez Named AERA Fellow
